Overview

Good communication with clients is crucial for any business, more so for industries in the service sector. Catering to over 2 million policies in Australia alone, Allianz insurance needed an effective software testing solution for ensuring the smooth operation of their communication platforms.  Keeping both cost-effectiveness and quality testing results in mind, they approached 99tests to help tackle the problem.

Challenges

Automation of the testing process requires a steady platform which will ensure that bugs are eliminated and software is optimized to serve the best setting of communication and service provision. The key requirements of the project were as follows:

  • Allianz needed quality testing solution to stabilize their software
  • They wanted to ensure effective cross-browser communication and information relay with accurate software testing
  • They were looking for an automated testing process that was both cost-effective and potent.

The Crowd sourced Testing Solution

Crowdsourced testing proved to be an effective solution to stabilize their software. Allianz was able to ensure that cross-browser communication and information relay was up to the required threshold. 99tests handled cross browser testing for Allianz Insurance in 5 days with the tests done by 56 testers who delivered satisfactory results that aided the browser platform the firm utilises. The crowdsourced testing solution included functional test coverage across the browser application ensuring perfection in its working. The 100 crowd testing hours put in, added to the 10 hours that the test manager from the firm contributed and made for an affordable solution to the issue of cross browser testing which would have otherwise cost the firm a handsome amount in finding an outsourcing enterprise.

Automation testing for the browser elements was effectively handled by the 99tests team which made for an affordable crowdsourced solution. Involving the tester community in the optimization of the browsers set ups and integration on popular O.S on computers, and handsets facilitated a hassle free client relation process for Allianz Insurance. At the moment, the firm can handle clients from all over the world without the problem of cross-browser limitation owing to the different orientations of browsers that individuals have. Crowdsourced testing proved to be an affordable option for them compared to the costly outsourced testing that they had taken up initially.

The 99tests Advantage

Crowdsourcing allowed Allianz to prioritize the cross-browser features to be tested and also mark the test cases that needed to be automated making the process seamless. By involving the tester community in the optimization of the browser set ups and integration on popular O.S on computers, and handsets we facilitated a hassle free client relation process for Allianz Insurance.  Thus, with the 99tests crowd testing platform, Allianz insurance found a cost-effective and efficient way of testing.
